What Type Of Christmas Gift Should I Give A Yr Old During This Recession?

I would give a 13 year old girl a Christmas gift, but do not know what to give. She had a father, but he does not live with her and her mother live. His father did not really take good care of her. His mother is a cousin of my mom, I'm trying to give a gift that will have a positive impact on your life. Of course I'm a guy that is why I am asking what could be a good gift for her.
